Palms are very elaborate trees. They aren’t at all quick or simple to render. Each Palm takes an enormous amount of time to do justice to their graceful balancing act. Each frond is a pinnate structure that arches to either side of their center spines and creates a latticework against themselves and the sky. The light coming through these latices projects shadows across other fronds making the artist’s job an engaging observational conversation.
